Kaau Crater Boys
The Kaau Crater Boys was a duo that included
Troy Fernandez and Ernie Cruz, Jr. They
performed and recorded together between
1991 and 1996 and during their time together they
won two Best Contemporary Album Na Hoku Hanohano Awards.
They split up in 1997 to pursue solo careers.

They formed their duo in 1990
They first performed as ET or Ernie and Troy
Later they signed a recording contract with Sakuma
and changed their name to Kaau Crater Boys
Their debut album was "Tropical Island Day" was released in 1991
2nd album "Valley Style" won 1994 Nas Hoku Award for contemporary
album of the year
3rd album "On Fire" won same award in 1995
Na Hoku Hanohano Awards
1994 Best Contemporary Album for "Valley Style"
1995 Best Contemporary Album for "On Fire"
1995 Best Composer Award went to Craig Kamahele for the song "Opihi Man",
recorded by the Kaau Boys on their "On Fire" album.
