Performed for several years as a solo artist
Later was part of the group "Pakalolo"
Later he and California artist Cecilio
Rodriguez formed Cecilio and Kapono
They recorded on Columbia Records
12 albums so far and they reunite every year
In 1981 Henry pursued a solo career
First solo album: "Kapono: Stand in the Light"
Kapono's Bar and Grill in the Aloha Tower Marketplace
Had 2 daughters with first wife
He and his current wife Lezlee have twins, a girl and a boy.

2006. His 2006 album "The Wild Hawaiian" won the
Rock Album of the Year Na Hoku Hanohano Award in 2007.
