2007 Hawaiian Music Grammy Award

On December 8, 2006 the National Academy of Recording Arts
and Sciences announced the five recordings nominated for
the 2007 Grammy award for Best Hawaiian Music Album. Three
of those five nominations were slack key guitar albums,
one by Ledward Kaapana and two by various artists. The
other two nominees were "Generation Hawaii" by Amy Hanaialii
Gilliom and "The Wild Hawaiian" by Henry Kapono. The winner
of the 2007 Hawaiian Music Grammy Award was announced on
Sunday, February 11, 2007, and it was "Legends of Hawaiian
Slack Guitar: Live From Maui", produced by Daniel Ho,
George Kahumoku, Jr., Paul Konwiser and Wayne Wong.
