All of the winners, in all categories of the 1998
Na Hoku Hanohano Awards. In 1998 the top album
Hoku Award went to Amy Gilliom's "Hawaiian Tradition" recording,
Fiji was awarded top male vocalist, Amy Hanaialii Gilliom
received the top female vocalist award, Na Leo Pilimehana was awarded top
group. The 1998 Na Hoku Hanohano Award for the most promising
new artist went to O'Brian Eselu for his "Ke Humu" album.
Two new categories were added to the Na Hoku Hanohano
Awards in 1998: Best Jazz Album and Best Rock Album.
