Ukulele Festival of Hawaii

The Ukulele Festival of Hawaii is an annual event, founded by Roy Sakuma, that usually takes place the last Sunday in July in Waikiki's Kapiolani Park.

    The 35th annual Ukulele Festival of Hawaii was sponsored by Starbucks and it took place 10:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. July 31, 2005 in the Kapiolani Park Bandstand in Honolulu. Guest performers included Herb "Ohta-san" Ohta, Sr, Lyle Ritz, Raiatea Helm, Daniel Ho, James Hill, Holunape, the Keala Ohana, and many more. The master of ceremonies for the even was Danny Kaleikini.

    Israel Kamakawiwoole.was one of the guest performers at the 2004 Ukulele Festival. The event ook place Sunday, July 25, 2004 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. This was the 34th annual event and it was sponsored by Starbucks. Guest performers included Ohta-san, Troy Fernandez, the Keale Ohana, James Hill, Daniel Ho, James Ingram, Uluwehi, Guerrero, and many more. Danny Kaleikini was the master of ceremonies for the event.
