George Kahumoku, Jr. Slack Key Guitar Workshop (Maui)
The 12th Annual Maui Slack Key Guitar Workshop organized by George Kahumoku, Jr. will take place June 21-18, 2009at the Mauian Hotel on Napili Bay. Special guest workshop leaders will include Keoki Kahumoku, Jeff Peterson, Kevin Brown, and Bob Brozman. Keiki Kahumoku Ohana Hawaiian Music Workshop (Hawaii Island)
The 2009 Kahumoku Ohana Music and Lifestyle Workshop and Camp will take place November 27 through December 5, 2009. The workshop will feature slack key guitar and ukulele workshops by Keoki Kahumoku, a ukulele and music theory workshop by Herb Ohta, Jr., a slack key guitar workshop by John Keawe, a steel guitar and bass guitar workshop by Sonny Lim, a hula and lei making workshop by Leilehua Yuen, a Hawaiian chant and Hawaiian language workshop by Amy Stillman, and more.     Keola Beamer's Aloha Music Camp
    The Aloha Music Camps featuring slack key guitar and hula workshops by Keola Beamer Aunty Nona Beamer were presented 13 times between 2000 and 2009, in three different locations on Molokai and the Big Island of Hawaii. The Aloha Music Camp workshops have not been held on a scheduled basis since February of 2009 but they can be held on-demand if enough participants and sponsors are available to support them.     Hawaiian Music Workshops Outside Hawaii

    HSS Slack Key and Ukulele Music Weekend (Virginia)
    The Hawaii State Society of Washington DC will present a Slack Key and Ukulele Music Weekend Workshop October 9-11, 2009 in the Ernst Cultural Community Center at Northern Virginia Community College. The event will include a slack key guitar workshop by Keoki Kahumoku, a ukulele workshop by Herb Ohta, Jr., and other Hawaiian music and Hawaiian culture workshops. The price of the workshop includes three days of instructional workshops, several jam sessions, eight meals, and front row concert tickets.

    E Hoomau 'Ukulele Workshop & Retreat (California)
    The 2nd Annual E Hoomaui Ukulele Workshop and Retreat will take place September 25-27, 2009 at Westerbene Ranch in the Sonoma Valley of Northern California. The registration fee for the three day workshop includes a ukulele workshop, a feather lei workshop, jam sessions, discussion groups, meals, wine tasting sessions, and a Saturday night concert.
