Lone Star Ukulele Festival and Acoustic Music Camp
The 1st Lone Star Ukulele Festival and Music
Camp took place April 30 through May 2, 2009
at the Metropolitan Community Church
in Farmers Branch, Texas. The event included
classes in blues, swing, Hawaiian, and Tin Pan
Alley style ukulele and also classes in mandolin,
hula dancing, singing, and songwriting.
Other festival events included jam sessions, open microphone sessions,
a silent auction, exhibitor booths, a luau dinner, and
two concerts.

The 2009 Texas Uke Festival will take place
on March 13-14, 2009 in the city of San Antonio,
Texas. (the Web site texasukefest.com is no longer
online).
