Hawaiian Music Concert Series in Hawaii

Ke Kani O Ke Kai Concert Series (Waikiki Aquarium)
Every summer the Waikiki Aquarium on the Diamond Head end of Waikiki offers a concert series featuring some of Hawaii's top musicians and singers. Performers on the summer 2009 schedule include the Brothers Cazimero, Hoku Zuttermeister, Kaumakaiwa Kanakaole, Maunalua, and Willie K. For tickets or more information call 808-550-8457.

Live From the Lawn Concert Series (State Art Museum)
The Hawaii State Foundation on Culture and the Arts presents a series of monthly "First Friday" concerts on the lawn of the Hawaii State Art Museum in the historic capitol district of Downtown Honolulu. The concerts feature a wide variety of traditional and contemporary music and dance performers. Examples: The May 2009 concert featured a Guy, Ernie, Tiffany, and John Cruz concert and the June 2009 concert featured performances by several non-traditional dance companies and a percussion performance by the Old Guard Fife and Drum Corps. Moonlight Mele Concert Series (Bishop Museum)
In the summer of 2009 the Bank of Hawaii will present a "Moonlight Mele" series of family concerts on the lawn of the Bishop Museum in Honolulu. 2009 performers will include Sean Naauao, Darren Benitez, Hoku Zuttermeister, Raiatea Helm. For tickets or more information call 808-847-3511.

Pakele Live Concert Series (Live on the Internet)
A series of live concerts in the Pakele Lounge at the Ala Moana Hotel that are broadcast live on the Internet every Thursday evening at 6:00 p.m. Hawaii Time.

Royal Hawaiian Band Concerts
The City and County of Honolulu's Royal Hawaiian Band performs weekly concerts at the Kapiolani Park Bandstand in Waikiki, on the grounds of the Iolani Palace in Downtown Honolulu, and on the Center Stage of the Ala Moana Shopping Center,

Sunday Showcase Concert Series (Waikiki Beach Walk)
The Waikiki Beach Walk Shopping Center is hosting a free Hawaiian music concerts on their Plaza Stage every Sunday between January 1 and December 31, 2009. The concerts are hosted by Jeff Apaka and they take place every Sunday, weather permitting, from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. Waikiki Beach Walk is located near the Outrigger Waikiki on the Beach, and Halekulani Hotels.

Hawaiian Music Series Outside of Hawaii

Whittier College Aloha Series (Southern California)
The 2009/2010 Aloha Series at Whittier College in Southern California will feature seven concerts between August of 2009 and May of 2010. The concerts will be performed in the Shannon Center for the Performing Arts and 2009 performers will include: Aaron Mahi, Bobby Ingano, Cyril Pahinui, George Kuo, Hapa, Hookena, Jerry Santos, Malia Gibson, Martin Pahinui, the Brothers Cazimero, the Makaha Sons. amd young Peter Moon,
