2007 Hawaii Island Falsetto Contest
The 16th annual Big Island Falsetto and Storytelling Contest
took place at the Hapuna beach Prince Hotel in the Mauna
Kea Resort area. The contest is named after storyteller
Clyde "Kindy" Sproat".

2006 Hawaii Island Falsetto Contest
The 15th Annual Kindy Sproat Falsetto and Storytelling Contest
took place Saturday, September 16, 2006 at the
Hapunas Beach Prince Hotel. The contest began at 7:00 p.m.
and tickets were $10 in advance and $12 at the door for
those with an Aloha Festivals ribbon (I'm not suere what
the ticket price was to others). One of the event announcements
said winners of the contests on Oahu and Maui would compete
at the eventy for a Hula Records recording contract. So... is the
Hawaii Island event the finals contest or is the Oahu event the
finals contest? I'm not sure...

The 11th annual Kindy Sproat Falsetto and Storytelling
Contest took place Sunday, August 25, 2002 at 2:00 p.m.
at the Outrigger Waikoloa Beach Resort. Thirteen competitiors
registered for the event and the winner received a recording
contract on Flip McDiarmid's Hula Records label.
