Kauai Falsetto Contests

There has been an annual falsetto contest on the island of Kauai since 2005. The 2008 contest will be the 4th annual event. Information about falssetto contests on the island of Kauai.

2007 Kauai Aloha Festivals Falsetto Contest
The 3rd annual Aloha Festivals Falsetto Contest on Kauai took place at the Hilton Kauai Beach Hotel.

2006 Kauai Aloha Festivals Falsetto Contest
The 2nd annual Aloha Festivals Falsetto Contest on the island of Kauai took place on September 15, 2006 at the Sheraton Kauai Resort.



1997 Kauai Falsetto Contest
The 2nd annual Kauai falsetto contest in a series known as "Na Himeni Kiekie", took place on July 19, 1997 in the Kauai ballroom of the the Hyatt Regency Kauai Resort and Spa. The contest included both amateur and professional categories and the contestants were all asked to sing one of the following four songs: Kalamaula, Alika, Kahealani or Akaka Falls. There was also a composer category that honored orignal falsetto song compositions. First place winner won a place at the 1997 Frank B. Shaner Hawaiian Falsetto Conetst on Oahu in September of 1997.
